    Default vs hard to start poor idle

    hi guys and girls
    i have just got myself a 95 vs with a ecotec for a work bus

    the car has cleaned up nice with a scrub and a buff
    but im having a few problems with the motor i knew it had them when i got it but i was hoping
    for a quick simple fix but not so lucky

    the car at times is hard to start will just wind and wind and wont come to life
    some times it will start and stall start and idle ruff and as soon as you touch the go fast pedal
    it snuffs out
    if it dont snuff out you have to feather the pedal a bit to get it to rev
    when its like that at times i hear a slight pop sound from the air intake.
    but then there is times it will start and run fine with no problems at all

    i have checked the pcm to see if it had and codes logged and no such luck
    have put a new fuel filter and has new plugs and leads in but it has not fixed it

    i know how to spin a spanner and have a firm grasp of the delco efi system
    but lack the money to be chucking random parts at it in hope of a fix.
    so chuck some ideas at me of things i should be looking at and checking

    i tryed to get a vid so you could hear it but it was wanting to behave
    but at soon as it starts playing up i will post a vid

    Does it do hot or cold or both? Have you cleaned the MAF and pelum lately? Make sure the IAC passage isn't all blocked up. Get some MAf or contact cleaner for that and use carby cleaner to clean the throttlebody.

    hot or cold dose not matter

    have only had the car for 2 days so who knows when it was cleaned last will check it out when i have some daylight

    +1 for what The1 said, clean MAF and take the throttle body off and give the IAC a real good clean
