URGENT: is the tailshaft out of a vr v8 the same as v6

hi all, can someone tell me if the tailshaft out of a vr v8 is the same as vr v6, cheers

Think they might be different because they are a different gearbox. Being that its a V8 the Tailshaft may need to be stronger then the v6 one as it sends more power to the diff. I could be wrong though, Have you thought about asking your local Holden dealer?

i've got a v8 one i need it to fit into a v6 just wondering if it will, cheers

Just give it a try mate, if it doesn't connect/bolt up then you know it wont work. I can't see why it would not work, should be a straight swap.
