Hi all,
have a concern with my fuel tank hoses. I removed the tank because I wanted to check all the hoses and connections as I have a fuel smell in the cabin(was evident before changing the pump).
So after lifting the ute cover tray I discovered the following and wanted to check if this is normal and if not where do these hoses connect to?
1. The top of the tank has two hose connections next to each other. One is the thicker black hose that connects up to the top of the filler hose and the second one connected next to it is the smaller gauge clear hose. Is this smaller hose supposed to just lie there without connecting to anything on one end ?
2. Then after lifting the tank I saw the three fuel lines coming through the floor pan from the engine bay. Two hoses(feeder/return lines) attach to the pump/sender unit on the side of the tank but I notice the third hose has been cut and just sitting there? I would assume that is the hose that connects to the charcoal canister in the engine bay? But where is the other end supposed to connect to as I can't see any other place where it should be connecting to around the tank or filler hose?
thanks in advance.
I think, but dont quote me on it cause its been so long since i checked mine, but I think the third hose goes on the black thing thats under the filler, there are a few hoses that run up there, not sure which connection it goes on though... sorry couldnt be more help. Also a bigger picture could help cause i could really see which hose you meant....

thanks Uber..........difficult to include a larger photo using the built in tool.
There just doesn't seem to be any spare connection point on the filler hose or anywhere else for the two above mentioned hoses. The filler consists of the main hose going into the tank and a smaller black hose connecting connecting from the middle of the filller to the top of the tank.
