check for error codes when the light comes on as described here Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised) being a 5.0 could be coil ,dizzy or ignition module its the most likely culprets for random stalling and not starting untill its cooled a bit
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong

Thanks for the error code info i know the dizzy has been replaced and the ignition module is new the last time holden put the car on the machine to check the codes for me they said it was the air sensors so they have been replaced to how hard can it be to find out the gargling noise and it's strange that it happens intermittently and some days it's fine !!

Mine (a VS 5.0lt) was making a gargeling noise in the fuel tank. the Fuel pump had failed. it was priming the car would try to start but wasn't able to keep up line pressure.
when it did run my economy was Crap. my pump was less than 12 months old & there were no error codes.
injectors were cleaned, fuel lines flushed, plenty of spark, new fuel filters after a bad batch of fuel.
a high volume pump fixed my problem.

Could be a dodgy fuel pump,I have had 5 genuine holden water pumps fitted one after the other,so it wouldnt surprise me if the fuel pump is no good. But the good thing is that all the new parts you got put in should be under warranty so go back and get new ones
