how to remove the speedo

Hi all i have to remove the speedo to replace the odometer drive cog, ANY ideas how to do this before i
start taking all sorts off, possibly mostly unecessarily,

Here is the link - it's pretty comprehensive although you need to thoroughly read it and take your time. I had trouble removing the speedo needle - best to improvise something like a fork to lever it out. Have Fun.

be careful if your going to lever the needle off that you dont scratch the back plate on the speedo, just put your fingers underneath it and it will come off eventually with alot of force
