vs ute problem

hey guys lately when i put the foot down past 2000 revs on my vs ute its starts coughing and chocking (sounds really unhealthy) and then it picks up but going up hills is the worst..
the transmission still changes smoothly so doubt its that.. cant see any obvious leaks. .
any ideas?
it is due for a service.. it has pacemaker extractors, exhaust, greenfoam chip, cold air intake and k&n panel filter if that helps. .

Check the fault codes and also ensure all spark plugs and the leads are firmly attached.

hey man sounds very similar to all the mods m car has. i had this problem when i first got it and changed my filter over to a k&n pod. took all the lumps and choking straight out. maybe a shagged filter how long since its had a clean? checked all the fauly codes etc?

Spark plugs, Leads, Coilpacks or DFI Module. Check and Replace.
