    Default Front Bumpers

went to holden the other day to get a quote on a new front bumper for the Vs (same price as it would be to buy new from a 2nd hand place)and was told of the variations available.

what are the differences between the executive, Calais, Berlina and SS models.

i know the SS one has those inserts at the side, but other then that what differences are in the bumpers?

there is no difference between the 4, but SII calais had the same front bar as the SS, and berlina, acclaim, executive all got the same bumper.

actually I think the calais / ss ones are a bit different, the bit that the chrome strip sits in has a smoother accent, the exec bar it drops straight down.
    that's what i've heard anyways

As far as I know the bar itself is only different between what was fitted to a V6 or V8, with the V8 bar having a slightly larger opening in the mouth for a little more airflow through the radiator and AC condensor. Other differences between the models include fog light bezels, grill inserts, lower front lip or an addition mouth insert like the series 2 vs calais. These parts however can be swapped or fitted to any vr/vs bar though. What you'll probably find though is that say for example you ordered a vs ss bar, the bar would already have the little cut outs to fit the driving light bezels etc.
Hope that makes some sort of sense. Check out Holmart auto aswell for genuine and repro bars.

VS II calais bar if different in a couple of ways, the strip along the middle is wider and the the front airdam has that plastic insert. Also has no tabs for an SS lip which all others had. If you buy a new SS front bumper, most of the time it does include the foglight holes and bezels, but no SS lip
