would a VP manual conversion fit into a VR 185 berlina ?

i have a VR senator (berlina) 185kw motor with the knock sensor. would the vp setup work in my car? i know i would have to bring over the speedo trip wire to the ecu and reverse setup properly, but would i change over the ecu and swap the memcal? or does the auto ecu work with manuals?

btw ive read the info on the conversion for the 5 speed on this forum many times, but i need solid answers

also my car has IRS, would the tailshaft from the VP fit the VR IRS?

i dont believe the gearbox swap will work (if i remember correctly the VR and VS were full electric) so no on that,

i dont see why the gearbox wouldnt work, even if it was full electric, all u need is a speed signal, and a reverse switch ?

yeh i think thats cause the vs has the lockup clutch..., i think VN VP VR are the same.... i hope lol

Yes it will work except for the wiring harness to the box & memcal which are different for the VR. All the hardware itself will be a straight forward exchange.

may just call a performance shop to see what to do with the wiring, im sure theyve come accross it before
