    Default steering wheel buttons

    current steering wheel is getting a bit ratty so if i got another i figured might go for this
    HOLDEN COMMODORE VY STEERING WHEEL (eBay item 260750520003 end time 21-Mar-11 20:00:00 AEDST) : Cars, Bikes, Boats
    i like having the buttons but would i still be able to use them if it fit and how?
    bluetooth headunit?

    youd have to wire them all up yourself if it's for a vs, as they didn't have any buttons with those functions, it would depend on your headunit and carphone setup to.

    i havn't done so myself and prob wouldn't want to with an airbag, even if the connector is the same most likely the resistances will be different and upset the system.

    PS wont fit, easy done with a search VY to VS Steering Wheel

    That wheel will NOT fit a VS.

    Steering shaft diameter/spline changed at VT. (VT air bag will fit a VS wheel)

    If you can get a VS One, it should not be that hard to wire up, you just need to get that little box that receives the Signals from the Steering wheel too. I wanted to do this a while ago and found out it wont be too hard to wire up, and if you can find a head unit from a VS that had button controls then you just splice the wires into what they should goto on the unit using the wiring diagrams on the gregories book to help.
