When combined with an aftermarket exhaust system the car will have a great sound; but with only the extractors there won't be a very special sound.

Extractors also eliminate back pressure meaning that more air is exhausted from the engine.

"Extractors" is the word for an exhaust manifold designed to increase performance over the standard one such as having

    - Different diameter tubes than factory to increase power if needed
    - Different design to increase scavenging effect that helps your engine "breathe"

Do a bit of googling there is lots of information out there. They can also change
    the tone of the exhaust.

If the existing system is damaged or cracked then yeah go ahead and fit them but there will be no real advantage of fitting extractors over a standard system unless you live on the redline JMHO.

Sell them and grab the cash. Little or no gain on an otherwise stock car. Particularly if it's street driven.

The first reply got it i think,
If you have a descent exhaust, then put them on, you will like it a lot.
In my opinion they aren't worth THAT much so if you have them, id use them,
But your call mate, let us know how it turns out if you put them on

I found I got better fuel economy and lower engine running temps after fitting pacemakers to my ecotec after the original exhaust manifold cracked and blew out.

This isn't a mod thats going to make a huge difference to that mate, it will make your car breath better, you will notice a difference, but the way i look at it is its a necessary foundation for future mods. If your looking to add a cat back exhaust, CAI or any of the other reletively standard mods then put them in, it will complement them very nicely. But if this is the only mod your planning to do then don't expect a huge difference at this stage other than sound and some slightly increased response.
