Default throttle cable.too tight if idles at 1500?

    hey all,

Just thinking if 1500rpm is to high an idle speed for my vs.
I tightened it just a tad, i was just after a bit more response(guts).

This sounds like the wrong way to do things.... if the cable is tight enough to go to its fully open position, then tightening the cable more will not do anything and end up causing you more problems...

If you slack off the cable a bit, does the idle go down? If so, then you have the cable too tight. Idle should (in theory) be in the 725-850 range when warm...

Let it loose a bit now down to 900 @ idle in park.
good enough for me. Im thinking about getting a good flat panel filter and a cai.
