If it's not a Symptom its not relevant, and if its not relevant I don't care!
its a pain in the arse to change i believe? maybe its one for the auto elec?? i only have basic machanic knowledge so dont wont to go playing too much
Def thinking leaking or fouled injectors from old fuel or somthing. Have them cleaned first before trying the dizzy. Dizzys usually tend to just fail or cause erratic running
I think leaking injectors also.
When its hard to start, does it blow a puff of black smoke when it fires up?
You could try pulling the fuel pump fuse with the engine running to remove the fuel pressure and see if it still runs rough on start up.
When you pull the fuse, do it at about 2000rpm to make sure the fuel pressure is gone. Before you restart, cycle the key on and off 3 or 4 time to prime the fuel system.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
Drain the tank low of fuel say 20lts left and use some injector cleaner (the OEM Toyota brand is the best one ive found, followed by Fuelset)run the engine up and run for 5-10 mins. Let engine sit over night for the cleaner to realy do its job. Run her up and drive a bit hard to cycle the injectors. use the fuel up in the tank. Change the filter as it will be full of crap if you havent cleaned the tank for a while...Fresh fuel and see how she goes..
The is the procedure we do for EFI bikes that sit for months at a time...
hi guys just an update, yes i have had it in a holden and its the injectors, love this web site, cheers fellas!
