Not starting

Turn the key and wont start... lights on dash etc... battery ok. check wires from starter all OK... wriggles wires at gearbox and it started. Started twice more now wont start. Wriggles wires again didnt start. Have checked plugs into gearbox all appear OK. Any help? Also does anyone have a gearbox diagram VR 1993 auto thanks in advance

Could be an inhibiter switch problem. Have you tried starting in in "N" as well as "P" ?

Agree with The1 the gear selector just under the Gear shifter is probably rooted. Go get one from the wreckers or Holden, wack out the old one, wack in the new one, should be all good.
