    Default Please HELP! stop lights gone bonkers

    hey all getting shits with stop lights they started not working few days back, as they do not flash when i brake i replaced a fuse it worked then blew so i bought a stop switched installed it put new fuse worked for bit now blew again so what the hell is going on yous reckon wireing help please thankss

    well first i would pull all the globes out & check them even the globe for the brake light in the back window if they all look good replace one at a time
    & if that dont fix the problem then you may have a short in the wiring some were

    haha i would just put a bigger fuse in but im pretty bodgy LOL... try pulling the lights off and check the wiring around the globes would be a start.

    yehh but like wwhat im saying is like realy unlikely iall my lights wireing ####ed up same like it worked for bit with fuse then gone i even replace brake switch haha

    check every globe and the earths. Try using new globes 1 at a time.

    hence why i said to remove all globes & check them as in my years of being an auto eleccy i have had globes that have caused the short
    but i,ve found that nelly all vt to vn wiring harnesses have bad earths or even worse if water gets into the globe holders & rusts them

    If there has been a towbar fitted, that is the first place I'd be looking... at the towbar wiring socket for loose wires shorting together.
