hey, i have a vs commodore acclaim and have bought two rockford fosgate p2 subs in individual boxes. As i am not familiar with sound systems in a vs, i was wondering if anyone would know the best way to place them in the boot which gives the best bass in the passenger cabin? any suggestions would be great.
As above, its such a small space relitive tot he sub size. The best thing you could do is put sound deadener inside the boot lid and on the side walls to try and keep the sound from escaping outside, thus it will direct more to the cabin
a subwoofer has no direction due to its low frequency.
no matter where you put it you cannot tell where it is unless you know where you placed it.
same with a surround sound system in your house, you can place a sub anywhere and itll sound the same due to no direction.
Rear facing will be the loudest outside the car and the bass still sounds like its facing the front but its not as overpowering as front facing.
alright cheers, getting the boot dynamatted aswell so i will change the set up a few times to see which is bassier
i have twin 12 rockford fosgate p1 subs with rockford fosgate amp and they are aimed toward the boot they pump pretty hard no matter where they are aimed man it all depends on how much space you want left
