Hi all,
I am currently looking at purchasing a 1994 Holden Commodore VRII Acclaim Sedan, but theres one thing. When I hoped inside the car, the seats have a weird blackish / grey material insert and matching door trim inserts. The base of the front and rear seats also have a leather base which does not carry throughout the entire seat; only on the sides.
I hoped in the passenger seat and on the Dashboard was a sticker saying "Sydney XXX" XXX; being the number. Unfortunately the owner knows little about the car and I am wondering if there were ever a VR Sydney edition / pack, what where their options and are they worth much more?
Never heard of a Sydney edition VR, Fairly sure there is only the Olympic 2000 Edition VT. Being an Acclaim it would have Air bags and power Windows as Optional items.
If it's not a Symptom its not relevant, and if its not relevant I don't care!
Yes, it has got the power windows optioned as well as the airbags.
The sticker looks genuine, but then again?
Here is a picture of a same style inserts for interior. Notice the leather on the base of the seats?

Sounds like a dealer pack or somthing. Dealers have been knows to slap on a different body kit, or modify the car in some way and then call it a "xxxxxx edition". From here it just looks like the seat fabric has been dyed black and added a vynil/leather to trim it up nice. Only problem with this stuff is you will never get another seat if you rip it or damage it in some way. As for extra value, i would say it would be worth the same, it simply adds an interest value to local holden punters awing at the different colours.
They look like Calais seats that have been re-trimmed.
