    Default V6 ideler? Sqeek

I have a Squeek under bonnet, I have replaced the 2 ideler pullys above the AC pump including the waterpump. Did these as the sound seems to be coming from that side of the motor. But sound still there.
Now I`m thinking the tensioner pully (all though sound dosent seems to come from that side of the motor) I have removed it and sprayed WD40 into it to see if it changed the tone of the squeek. Didnt seem to.
I have tried to run the car without the belt and noise isnt there. I did notice that with the belt off and pull down on the tensioner it seems to squeek and have some sideways movement...dose this sound right? If not is it a replacable item, I cant seem to find any info on replacing it.

So have found the source of the noise. Its coming from the harmonic balancer. I would assume a balancer thats shagged would bang and knock but not sqeek..and sqeek alot. Is this a normal noise (of a shagged one)as I havent had anything to do with one on the way out.
Balancer looks good, isnt moving about . Is there something behind it that could be causing it?

Saturate it (well, spray it) with oil and see if it stops squeaking. Nothing behind should cause it....possibly it has sheared and the rubber is moving making a squeak although usually you can see them wobble (with belt on). Could also be a dry/old belt that is squeaking...spray water or chalk on ribs and see if it quietens it. I'm getting old/dry myself but find beer improves things, but I don't reckon you should waste beer on the belt, use water.

I`ll try a belt today, rubber from the out side loks good. Trying to move the outside of the balancer by hand shows no movment

You were spot on mate, belt was causing it. I've never heard of a belt making that noise. I still think the tensioner arm is shagged. Is this a replaceable part, if so how is it done and what are they worth?

The tensioner is replaceable...cost upwards of $200 and take a few hours to fit but not impossible. Most tensioners seem to squeak and move quite a bit when the engine is running. I'd leave the tensioner till I was absolutely sure it is shagged.
