    Default wet vs motor

    I have a vs commodore the motor recently got wet now when you try to start it, it trys to start and coughs and farts and you can smell petrol like its flooded and alot of petrol smoke while trying to start. the wire from the coil pack to the air con compressor was melted i fixed it but still wont start and i got the fault codes 22, 47 and 49?

    I'd remove the coils to let the DFI module dry properly....maybe a day or so in the sun and wind with the bonnet up.

    i just chucked a new DFI on it. it started but now it seems to be revving to high in idle and while driving?

    Didn't knock a vacuum hose off the throttle body?...maybe the IAC has water in it....anyways, I'd drive it a bit to get it good and hot and see what happens....also check the throttle cable isn't sticking.
