    Default Holden Vs, Not sure what a part is

    i just brought a 1996 VS v6 ECO TECH , and its got a water leak, i am looking at replacing the hoses but it looks like it is coming from a part that im sure what it is,
    sorry i am new to cars.

    that's the aircon line, should be right like that, but should have a cap over it to keep the dust out, just visit a aircon place and get another one.

    Its an extremely common problem. Not just commodores.

    Yes water is what makes the air con cold.

    arh gas runs through the aircon pipe, it will get cold and water vapor form on the pipe while the aircon is running which is normal.

    Its not water in the pipe, its a refrigerant gas called R134a. The water is just condensing on the pipe because its cold.

    R134a boils at -23 degrees celsius, so there is no way it should be coming out as a liquid. Is it coming out as a gas? Could be your TX valve in your air con system is blocked and your high pressure cutout has somehow failed and its leaking out the weakest point in the system.

    Actually I just had another look at your pictures, its your LPG mixer thing leaking. The coolant flows through it to stop it icing over. There should not be water leaking out of this, take it to a mechanic and have it repaired ASAP, and keep a close eye on your coolant levels untill then
