hey all just wondering if the seal is replacable on a vr v8 auto as mine as developed a leak. also how difficult are the engine and trans mounts to replace as the trans one is broken and the pass side engine has a broken the metal bracket. thanx in advance guys

mounts are easy, get the car up on stands, or better yet borrow a hoist.

transmission-support trans with jack (a good one that wont go down over time preferably!) put a block of wood or similar between jack and tranny pan to avoid crushing it, drop x-member, replace bush

engine- take out bolt that runs thru mount and x-member, jack up engine under sump (remember block of wood) until the mount just starts to lift up, unbolt from engine, bolt new mount in, lower engine. there isnt a great deal of room on the passenger side of the motor but its do-able. drivers side is worse. ratchet spanners are great for this job too

its actually the bracket that bolts to the block thats broken can i just weld this up or is it replacable coz new mounts dont come with it????
