Please help with dizzy bolt v8

Hey i just purchased a vr ss 5l and the distributor bolt needs tightening i cant seem to get a socket or ring spanner down from the top or sides is there a trick or are my fingers just too fat cheers

I've always done them coming in from the drivers side. I just use a cheap spanner i've bent and reshaped to better fit into there.

Yeah bend a spanner to fit. It's a stupid design...

cheers i hadnt thought of it but will give it a go is it a 13 or 14mm thanks

they do sell weird looking spanners that will fit on there. its like a ring spanner laying flat but a few inches away from the ring end it turns 90 degrees and points straight up, at the end of that bit is the square drive that a ratchet fits into. check out repco/gasweld etc they should have one

go to repco and ask for a crows foot socket, thats what you need.
