About as useless as this thread!
If it's not a Symptom its not relevant, and if its not relevant I don't care!

You would be lucky to get 17 kw,maybe 5-10 depending on the condition of the engine and depending on if you use 98 octane fuel or the standard 91 stuff.....If you have an exhaust and extractors and CAI ,and use 98 octane fuel, and the vehicle is regularly serviced etc, then you might see 17 Kw over the standard V6 power rating...I do my own tunes for the VSV6's, and Ive found a tune mostly makes the engine more responsive at low to mid throttle more than anything. In saying that,it does give an overall increase in power, but its just not a real lot..It also makes them better on fuel when cruising around town or when out on the highway....Ive tried hundreds of different tunes now, and I think I have finally found the best that I can get from the ecotec engine in standard form..

for 17kw it would hardly seem worth the dyno run.... How many people are honestly going to go get a dyno done after this just see if it works... Prrrrrrrft be fairly stupid if you do!

Get it mate, i got one similar on my VR that does have a few modifications, air intake, panel filter, extractors, exhaust, cam, and it made a big difference. I wouldn't say it was a huge modification, but it overall has made the feel of my ride much more pleasent. Gears change smoother, excelleration is better with some slight increase down low, and a fairly big increase up high. For the price even if it doesn't do too much, would you really care? Plus the more you modify the car the better it is to have.
