hi all
i have a v6 ecotec in my vs, iv got MACE 25mm manifold spacer and 12mm plenum spacers fitted. im looking at getting a whiteline strut brace, will it clear the motor??? i dont have the cover on the top of the motor.
Im not talking from experience, but I would say yes. Im judging this by the clearance I have with mine which is also whiteline with the engine cover on. The whiteline bars are adjustable too so you do have a little play where you can lift and lower the bar by moving the strut tower feet either in or out.
Cheers.
i have the same spacers, i had to take off the 12mm plenum one to get it to fit. and my engine mounts are shit so im guessing if your car is healthy you might get away with the 12mm plenum spacer, if your mounts are on the way out then just the 25mm manifold spacer.
i have a 2mm clearence with 25mm and strut brace
yea this is what i am worried about, maybe ill have to make something custem up.
im defnatly not gona take one of the spacers out cause they were to expensive not to run them.
any one made a custom strut brace??
nolathain make a good ajustable strut brace ....sold at pedders i had one on my old 1996 vs ecotec ute ,
We ALL HAVE 1 THING IN COMMON:THE RELENTLESS PURSUIT OF GRIP
whiteline make a rear mount that runs along the firewall not the motor. thats what u need mate
yes i will get new engine mounts, its on the list. i hve a couple layers of heat tape between motor and brace. its fine
