Ok, my commy has had a fair few new parts on the front end, and the clunk keeps getting worse, (happens when i go over bumps and when I shake the steering wheel). I can sometimes hear the clunks from the back now too.
It had a brand new rack, all new rubbers, new bearings, new rotors. (maybe a few more things)
Shockeys maybe???
Any Ideas????
Have you checked the front sway bar link pins? They are about 30cmm long, they connect the end of the sway bar to a point on the strut. There are rubber bushes where they connect. Worn ones cause a clunking sound. You can buy them fairly cheap on Ebay. I recently bought a pair. They were a different design to the original, they were shaped to fit better. Cost me $30 delivered. Supercheap had the replacment rubbers for $27.00.
castor bar bushes aka radius rod to control arm and chassis, their about $35 or if it clunks when you shake the steering wheel could be the tie rod ends but they should have been replaced when you had the power steering rack done
yea the rod ends were all replaced.
Il have a look at those castor bar bushes this arvy
cheers
