    Default VS Suspension Change

im looking to change my VS's suspension mainly to better ride quality. i want to stiffen suspension and lower it slightly roughly 20mm and 30mm rear. whats a good setup to achieve this? it still has stock suspension atm

would low king springs suited to my car and monroe gt sport shocks work or would it be lowered to far?

better ride quality and lowering don't go anywhere near each other. if you want it to ride better, put stock 15s on with really good tires (pirelli or the like), new struts and shocks all round, maybe new springs and bushes if you're still not happy.

It'll be stiff, no doubt about that. As soon as you lower it a little the ride will be stiff, bumpy and firm.

Ahh well in that case go lovells lows (slightly lower than king lows) all round (different heights in the front and back apparently make your steering a bit funny.... although mine has low front and sl back and I can't tell the difference )

with KYB or Monroe GT sport shocks and struts. Say goodbye to body roll.

i would be going a set of kings lows or similar with a quality set of shocks, kyb agx or a set of koni's plus a set of swaybars, for good street handling. dont forget good tyres though.

King lows drop it about 30mm, Lovells i think are 35-40mm.

Keep in mind being new springs they will take a month or two to settle and will sit slightly lower after they settle.

    Super low is 50mm+

once you go too low your steering/suspension geometery will go out the window and your handling will suffer. also, going too low will give you a too high spring rate to have good street handling.

i wouldnt get king springs unless you can get them for cheap i had some lowered kings in my old vs and sure it was stiff and handle good when i first put them in but went soft within a few months, ive also had mates with this problem

I find Pedders Sports Ryder springs to be firmer then kings, I have Pedders sports Ryder with Monroe GT all round and it does feel smoother and much less bounce then my mate who also has a VS on King Superlows with same shocks.
