    Default Vs acclaim

Hey guys, i'm picking up my vs tomorrow *cheers*

The mod bug has already hit me even tho i don't have her just quite yet, however, my mate's vs has a cam extractors exhaust and a stage for computer it's pumping out 141kw at the wheels.

    I'm thinking of doing the following;

    1.98:1 high ratio roller rockers
    Extractors *need help on these*
    Exhaust
    Cai
    Bigger throttle body
    And a chip and tune.

Was just wondering, are those roller rockers any good or should i just get a cam?. If the power gains are almost identical then i'm assuming it's better to get the rockers as they're cheaper and i can install them myself.

Every website i goto that has dyno graphs between the cam and rollerrockers the mods on the cars vary so you cant see the true difference if you know what i mean.

Anyway i'll post up some pics when i get her

Can't drive a V8 on p's. Or i'd be looking at a v8. And before anyone starts whinging that its an ecotec and just a 6 and not worth it blah blah.. Each to their own

yeah, i thought that might be said.. lol, in that case, just go rockers, you can then try and save some money, for something else completely awesome for ya car.

try the search function here... you'd be amazed how many people have asked VERY similar questions to you... the old "which is better bang for buck, cam or rockers?"

There is a LOT of info here in the forum already on all the pro's and cons of both, money and power wise... happy reading!

Don't bother doing anything to it, just make it look nice. Nice rims, lower a bit, tint, stereo.

Leave everything else stock will keep you out of trouble. Save your money and buy a v8 when you're off your Ps.

go with Nathans idea, I'm also on my P's and as much as i would love to have some wicked power pumping out of the ecotec, there's not really much point it's always gonna be a 6, you can make it sound great and look great, but that's as far as I'm going until i get my full license because there's just no substitute for an 8

yeah. you just waste your money doing anything but servicing on a 6. if it's broke, replace it with a better one. that's it.
