i have tried many things, plugs, leads, oxy sensor, alt brushes, new injectors and still it surges and gettin worse over the last few months. causing it to be heavy on fuel. PLEASE HELP ME : (
mate my S3 V6 VS ute does this, i changed my leads and plugs which helped and now it only occurs every now and again, but i do have a miss fire that i think might be linked to the problem, Im thinking its my coil packs/ DFI module as every other component is in great working order, it does chew up a bit more fuel than a motor in perfect working order due to the miss fire but it's not real heavy on fuel.
Just fixed a similar problem on my VN. Replaced the dissy as the clip that was holding the hall effect sensor had corroded, allowing the sensor to shift around everytime i hit a bump.
My symptoms: loading it up at low rpm it would cough and splutter then clear out, it would miss when hitting bumps in the road AND the tacho would jump 1000rpm when it did this
Now its all good

Sounds like a Hall Effect sensor issue to me.
any chance the computer is the problem or crank sensor? it doesnt stall, backfire or not start though
Just try swapping the dissy. It a 10 min job. If its not the problem, then you have crossed one thing off the list

ive got the same problem in my vt 5lt. sometimes its worst then other times.
and yer when taking off from a standing start it revs nearly drop 1500 rpm from round 3500 to 2000
ive tried a few things like leads plugs injectors.
think i mite try a the dizzy.
