Hi guys im sure its been covered a million times but im having trouble finding more info..
So basically i have a vn with a hd clutch, great geabox, exhaust, suspension etc and i want to put all of it into a ute, i have found a vr ute with series 2 engine for sale cheap and need help with the following.
Will my series 1 transmission manual fit onto a series 2 auto (collumn) engine?
What does the conversion involve? (Note i have a running vn manual so will manual computer work etc?)
How do you go about fitting a handbreak?
And is it pretty straight forward? I am pretty mechanical minded but no rocket scientist will i be able to do it?
Also is connecting the clutch peddle a major problem?
Cheers
Reece
Clutch pedal cutout is already there. You will have problems bolting the manual flywheel to the back of the crankshaft on an auto engine I think...at least it is with the Ecotec.
Best to check the "similar threads" at the bottom of this page...just scroll down. Good luck and I'm jealous as I'd love a manual.
