VS , V8 Idle Problems

Hello Holden Lovers.

Just recently I've been having High Idle Problems during driving and when stopping. The problems happen when the car is up at running temperature. When performing a gear change, the idle only drops to around 1200rpm, when I pull up to a set of lights the idle will still be around 1200rpm but slowly drop back to a normal 600rpm. If I remove the Intake Filter, the problem disappears? Has anyone had similar problems?

How old is the filter?

Had similar idle issues once, the fuel hose was loose on the passenger fuel rail in my case. But i had alot of hunting at idle aswell, but i drive a manual too so my idleing will differ to yours.
