VR Commodore Gearbox
Hey guys,
Just got a VR Commodore, now it has reverse but just barely grabs on to 1st apart from that it just revs and doesnt kick in to gear. but the transmissino fluid has been overfilled and its not red. a darkish colour.. should i change the fluid and filter and see if it gives me my gears back?

does the fluid smell? Hopefully it's not to late, do you know if it had any other gears that worked fine previously 2 3 OD? Id be changing fluid and filter asap, it could just be the shift solenoid or stuck valve. Give error codes a check to Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)

Sounds a bit more terminal to me...I'd be looking for a 2nd hand unit and swap it over.

yea mate the box sounds like she's on its way out, but you never know i would change the fluid and filter and see if it works, if it does, great, then it gives u time to source a decent 2nd hand box before the one you got gives up
