cable or sticky throttle body, cleaned out the throttle body lately? Pull the intake hose off and plenum lid off and give good clean with carby cleaner

Quick update took the car for the holidays just over 1000km and it did get worse so came home tonight and parked it up and had a good look. It's got factory gas, it's got a gas research system and the throttle cable is connected to this round device and turns on a cog system, I took off throttle cable and knew it was the throttle body cause it was sticking when I played with it, but all I did tonight was grease up the shaft going in and out that attached with the cog, and it's good as new, dunno tried to explain it the best I could maybe a photo tomorrow would suit.
