gday fellers would like to know if a set of hsv headers will give me some extra power? atm the engine is stock has 125ks on the clock and has cai and stock exhaust less rear resonator, she pulls well but like every one else would like a little more horses any feed back positive or negative is appreciated oh and its manual dont know if that makes a difference as well thanks
Mate of mine has a set on a VP.
They sound alright but only a minimal improvement over standard. If you're after some real gains find yourself a set of 1 3/4 tri-y's and a good twin 2.5" exhaust system. Will sound a million bucks and you should have some nice bottom end torque for around town.
Really depends on the budget, but you've gotta pay to play as they say.
Best gains from an otherwise stock engine will be a good service (plugs, leads, rotor button, cap, coil, injector clean, filters etc etc etc) and a tune. If you want it to sound better then a 2 !/2" redback system is the go. Gains from extractors on those stock motors are minimal at best. Check your cat isn't clogged - if it's old a replacement might be needed.
Reaper
soop, reaper thanks for the advice...vee-ard....well at the very least your surprised!
He wasn't really having ago at you. We get alot of young kids on here with the usual "omg brew, wut zorst shud i uze?".
ok fair enough, there was a set of hsv headers but was out bid, which im thinking i will probably go the pacemaker, high flow cat followed by 2.5 system, and then the tune, i dont expect F1 performance but am hopeful to notice some difference. any more advice feel free.......but please no surprises ha ha
