series three i think may have the vt 5 litre in it. i know the SIII VS Clubbies have that. those 5l have got sequential injection and i'm pretty sure four bolt mains but the others dont

I thought that only the Ute came out as Series III (with the VT motor) whereas the sedan only came in series I & II with the older version 5 litre.

Also didn't know there was a Series III Clubsport.

the VT motor is better for you as it runs a Roller cam from the factory.
4 bolt mains are rare & HSV VT 5.0lt didn't come with 4 bolt mains as standard.
I know about this as my VS has a HSV VT 5.0lt Crate Engine in it.
I also have the sump off of it at the moment due to oil leaks, (some one overtightened the sump gasket bolts!).

vs series 1 2 and 3 have interior differences to bud
exterior differences with indicators series 1 has square indicators like the vr and vp where series 2 has oval indicator in the orange where series 3 in stateman caprice and the clubsport had the clear indicators in the guard when it comes to the statos and caprices i no all the exterior differnces but not to sure on the comm also like mentioned u have ur engine differences as well if u end up with the sequential injection motor u also have a air meter sensor in the air intake and not the map sensor and the sequential motor is just as strong as the series 2 as well
also when it comes to 4 bolt mains my vr 5litre statesman block has 4 bolt mains which i disoverd early this year so it not just a vt 5 litre rarey like me vs caprice 5ltr block is 2 bolt mains
