Default VE Brake system on a VS Wagon

I have 18" VE SSV rims do I have to upgrade my brake system as I has Brembo Caliphers also?

What have you put them on? if those wheels have gone onto your wagon I would be looking more at ensuring your suspension is correctly adjusted, upgrading the brakes can be a nightmare of a job if your not fairly handy and shouldn't be required just because you have larger wheels.

No need to upgrade the brakes, the suspension will be ok but you should get it lowered as it will look like a 4WD with the stock suspension still on it

I have lowered it but was told that I need to change the braking system to compensate for the larger wheel so went and paid the VE Brembo caliphers and trying to find the braking discs and evrything else i need.

A friend of mine that has a VX Wagon and that is what he is running on his 19" Rims. He said it is a better and safer braking system on bigger rims. Sweet thanks for the help guys.

Maybe on the 19",but no need on the 18",but if you get bigger brakes you will need to also get bigger rotors

Would it hurt to upgrade to bigger brakes and rotors for my 18"? Is it $$$$$?

Yes its the $$$ if you have the money then I do recommend that you get them, but like I said I have the same wheels and mine are fine,if no money is a barrier then do it,you will be amazed at the difference and performance.

if you going to upgrade you brakes>>>> do the whole lot not just calipers,,,,,a cheap vt brake upgrade will do you mighty fine or you could stay with what you have on there already..did you get the centers of the ve rims done to fit 100%?

The VT upgrade is a lot of work, the VE is easier and a better system. No need to change the master cylinder or booster either.

I do the 322mm package for $795 for the VS. All bolt on and comes with everything you need.
