Hey guys, i got around to replacing my engine mount today and all was going well. Was being the key word.
I removed the bolts for the ac compressor, replaced the mount etc, the only thing i haven't done was bolt the compressor back to the block and the mount to the chasis.
This is where the problems began.
It was getting dark so i decided to call it a night, and went to lock my car and put my windows up. So i hit the unlock switch on the key and nothing happens. no interior light, no flashing indicators nothing.
so i get in the car and put my key in and turn to accessories and my power windows won't turn on, the lights aren't even on in the switches. i try to crank the motor, nothing. i have reds, all lights etc. i just don't have locking or windows and my car wont even attempt to crank.
Anyone know what it could be?
I've disconnected the battery for 20 mins, turned the alarm thing that was installed off, checked my bcm, battery volts fuses in the engine bay and still to no prevail.
Fuse blown?
Charge wire broken?
Earths?
Har.. Har. I did, there's no crank, no power windows, no central locking. My remote won't even seem to activate anything in the car, other than putting reds on
Yep, fuse. AC shorted.
Under dash.
Cant remember.
Picked up a vs in vic and driving it back was trying all the acc out. Everything was cool til i touched the ac button and the whole car died. Was a dash fuse. Car was dead til i found it.
Was a red one.
For sure.
Alright thanks mate, sorry if i seem a little stroppy i just wanted the bitch fixed
Theres an earth lead that connects to the drivers side engine mount bolts under there somewhere.Maybe youve missed connecting it back up again...
brett could be on the moeny there first thing i thought of when you said engine mounts

Ok, update. I got up this morning bright and fresh, i rechecked the fuse box under the bonnet, and there was a fuse missing from the section labeled Fpmp. So i took the fuse from the horn and put it in that spot. I reconnected the battery and had a crack at the windows and hey whatta ya know they work, so did the central locking and now it wants to crank.
So i disconnected the battery again and started my merry way on putting the A/C compressor back in place. What i've realized is that there was some sort of sheet metal bracket that was sitting there, so i bolted it on top of the engine mount. It's started to rain and i went to put the windows up and lock the car, but when i reconnected the battery, the windows work, but my remote wont connect with the car now, and the blinkers are going off their tits flashing, and nothings turned onto the blinkers.
