Pulled apart dash VS 1996.
i pulled apart my dash, and i was following a book and it didnt say anything about the heater/aircon controll. i pulled it out and a metal thing came with it ? i cant put it as i dont know where it goes. i have attached images as i dont really know what anything is called.

The rod is connected just above the foot rest. It flips the mixer flap over inside the heater box. Look for a white clip with a tag that locks it into place.
