Hi everyone, a quick question. Just bought a vs ute and it apparently has a new clutch cable. The clutch needs to be pressed pretty much right into the floor to engage and only has a very short travel before it is disengaged. Just wondering if the cable needs adjusting or if it may be a sign the clutch is almost gone?
Cheers
Do the break and clutch pedal sit the same height
from memory i think they do. would have to double check. what is the scenario if it does/doesn't?
If the clutch pedal sits lower or higher its out of adjustment. Thats what holden specifies in there manual. Some will change it to suit there driving style but i personally found it nice where holden set it at.
If thats the case what ur describing, then it just needs adjusting out. Youll see where the cable attaches to the gbox(may have a black plastic cover over it). Just there you'll find a thread with a black plastic nut. Turn it one way or the other to adjust accordingly to what you want.
If its not, it will be the pivot point inside the gearbox.
