    Default Possible blown Header gasket?

Hey all was just giving the engine bay a clean and decided to run it for a bit. It was all good for the first 20 seconds then all this smoke was coming from the left and right of the engine. Was just wanting to know if it would be exhaust gases (which i think it is) or something else.

    Thanks
    Will

Are you sure it was smoke and not steam from the headers heating up after washing it...lol

Yeah, it's just the steam probably discoloured from the rust on the headers after you washed it.

Whatever you used to clean the engine bay may have spilled on the manifold, when it got hot enough, it burnt off producing the smoke.

But that should have only last a matter of minutes? This smells like exhaust gases.

Does it sound like it is leaking?

Depending on how much product is on the manifold, it can take a while to burn off and stop smoking.

Just turned it on and let it run for 20 minutes and the smoke was still coming out. Could this possibly be my rocker cover gasket broken meaning the oil is going
    onto the manifold?

hmmm, can I ask what you cleaned your engine bay with? Maybe it ate away at a seal somewhere... And does it sound like the headers are leaking at all? Maybe its just oil dripping onto the headers.

jack the front of the car up onto stands
    start the car
get under neath with a torch
look for where the smoke is coming from..... logic will prevail
