VS commodore dies and wont start

Hey guys, two days ago i was doing a uturn in a street and when accelerating to leave the street my car just died. No coughing or spluttering. Just bam dead. Took 15 mins of continuous cranking before she'd kick back over.

I stopped at the servo and found my throttle body piping had come off, i fixed it and prob solved.

Today i was going around a corner and flattened it and then bam car died. Had nothing. I kept cranking and cranking and still no start.

Idk what the problem is, i'm suspecting blocked fuel filter or effed pump?

Could be a few things CAS,battery,starter motor.If there isnt any sound at all when you try to turn it over then the starter motor has gone.

But would the battery cause no start? I have all lights etc, granted they dim a little with no motor running so i'm going to replace it. Plus, i don't see why the car dies in the first place, CAS yes, but why the starter motor?. It doesn't happen all the time. It's happened three times since i've gotten it. Once was when i was test driving it and gave it the boot to make sure it kicked down etc. Once doing a u turn and today turning a corner and giving the boot.

I just want it to be fixed.

No the battery wouldnt cause no start,but the CAS and starter motor would if it was shorting out internally,try to check the error codes it could be the knock sensor,also the injectors might be blocked these are just some of the things that can contribute to the problem you just have to go through them all until you find what it is,I know that it sucks but if you want to do this yourself then this is what it takes.

I was told that the cas could stop the car from running. and to check it i had to check the resistance in the wires. so i suppose i should do that. I'm going to do an injector flush, or clean them with my ultra sonic cleaner. I'll check the fuel pump and filter next weekend. any very notable symptoms with a knock sensor?

i had a bloke with the same problem as your s . replaced the torque converter and fixed the problem

I think i found the problem, when i bash the fuel tank she starts pretty much straight away. Aha i think its the fuel pump
