Ok so my uncle rang me today and offered me his vs wagon. Its got a 195i clubby motor and 6 speed gear box in it. The whole car is sitting on almost brand new suspension, 19s with new tyres, and a senator kit. Apart from a heavy duty clutch and flywheel and full exhaust system mechanically it's stock. Ok now the question i have,
A. Did vs wagons actually come out v8 an manual, He said its a factory 8 and manual he just put his motor and box out of his written of clubby into it. But its been mod plated for the motor and gear box, brakes. so it doesnt worry me just want to know,
B. its black, it has a full electric sunroof, windows ect, It his clubby dash, cluster, door trim seats ect in it.
C. It runs a 3.9 lsd is this a good gearing? what issues could i run into with this motor and box ive never owned one before.
And finally, its got vt clubby brakes which is a plus. anyway ive got a crow cam, injectors, worked heads all waiting to go on if i want them( old man said i can take them) Now for 5 grand i cant complain, its mod plated and everything, Just thought i would ask what you guys think.
Doesnt sound right to me mate.
being a clubby motor makes no differnce for a starta all the thing is is a chip which programs it differnt internal all the motors are the same
if it a 195 it be a vt motor being sequential injection vs motors were normal multipoint injection with 165kw or with 185 chip saying the 195 motor was out of the clubby that was written off how did he go with the clubby clusters in to a vs with out doing alot of work in converting the dash etc etc sorry to say sounds like a bull shit story
the dash is a vs dash mate, i may have the the number wrong mate thats all, Sorry. Im only saying 195 because thats what i was told, The clubby that everything came out of a vs, I know because i helped change it all over, the wagon was a bare shell with some compliance plates on it, So he changed everything he could from his sedan.
what series vs was the clubby if series 3 i think they were the sequential but they didnt last long in the vs cause the vtseries 1 went prety quick in to the clubsport only lasted withthe vs clubsport for about 1 and a half months b4 the vt clubby was out
its like my vs caprice is a 98 model series 2 me mates clubsport down the road is a 195 vt which is a september 97 model
late 97 model mate because the wagon is the same
i to have thought about putting a hsv cluster or clubby cluster in me caprice but i thought whats the point im changing into 3rd cog at 160 and off the clock in 3rd real quick i decided if im going over 220 i dont need to know im over 250 im allready in enough shit lol
Thats very true, But the whole dash pads been used, Also another question why dont the club sports' senators and mantas have air bags when the acclaims do
The acclaim were all about the safety. Holden at that time said claimed it was the ultimate family car due to it's safety and blah blah also it it really is a 195 with sequential injection its also got roller cams.
And from wat I know the 195 heads are better flowing and rated at a higher horsepower
Mate for five grand ur starting with a good strong fivey hopefully!!!!!
And if it is really a six speed it's a t56 top box my dream box
I say go for it good running gear
i took it for a drive to night out of town about 10kms it clocks 120 out of 2nd at 6500 so it goes extremely well and sounds nice, either way its a v8 wagon with a sunroof, and manual what more could i want for 5 grand paying for it tommorrow,
Need to start a ride thread....
Yeha i will when i buy a new camera, i like it ive started fixing the unis and abit of wiring today
