    Default Vr air intake

Hey guys just a quick question. Has anyone had there air intake making vibrating noises? I hbe a k&n pod willer with chrome pipe setup and in the last 2 week it's been making a weird vibrating sort of noise when idling. It is not vibrating against anything I can see and is properly secured down

Defiantly sure.it sounds like something rattling inside the pipe but I've pulled it out and found nothing

I used to have a chrome pipe, too. After a while mine just wasn't sealing properly so I got rid of it, but before this I used to get the rattle aswell. My guess is it's just the vibration reverberating through the metal. You know how metal works, it gets hot and the molecules expand, etc etc.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

if its upsetting u mate just remove the thing put ur original air box back on and a k & n air filter in it, better for cops and gets less hot air in there

Put the stock airbox back in and see if the noise goes away.

If it doesn't then you need to be looking elsewhere to find that rattle.

Or while the car is idling, hold onto the pipe (so it doesn't move) and see if that reduces/eliminates the vibration.
