    Default Brake lights staying on

I was wondering if i can get some advice? I just changed the VS wagons brake booster and works well.Better than that hissing hard as a rock booster i had before.Only one problem. When i was under the dash doing the business i mustve done something to the rear brake light wiring cause theyre on when im not even pressing the pedal.Ive had to take the rear brake light fuse out tonight cause they stay on.Ill have to take it to a sparky if i cant sort it out tonight.Theyve always worked fine over the last 8yrs ive had the car.Any advice men? Thanks.

if you follow your brake pedal from the bottom to about 3 quarters of the way up, you'll see a little switch with a hex on it. It's on the left hand side of the fuse box, thats your brake light switch. My guess is it's wriggled its way further back towards you and is constantly on. Try adjusting it

This is the switch you're looking for

No worries thanks for the picture and explanation.I appreciate it.Ive just been out there and discovered that little switch.I tried adjusting it all the way in thinking it may of come loose as well but it didnt make a difference. So i took the switch out and connected the wiring to it and by manually pressing it in and out and it works well.It turned the brake lights on and off. When it was all the way in its hole it still wasnt getting pressed in by the pedal to turn the brake lights off.
I felt between the switch and the brake pedal to find there was still a small gap so it wasnt being pressed in.I wacked the little bracket that the switch sits in about half a centimetere and Bobs your uncle.Brake light work fine. How the hell that gap appeared causing the switch to not work when it was fine before i changed the booster is beyond me.I tried to pay attention to not disturbing the wiring too much as it was fine before changing the brake booster. Thanks again mate.
