when i started my car this morning i noticed a strong fuel smell, so i opened the bonnet and found fuel dripping from the back passengers side fuel rail.
there is a line that runs into the fuel rail that may be leaking (hard to tell) or can any one tell me if there is an o ring in this location that is common to leaking and how hard to change cost etc.
fixed o ring in the back of the fuel rail was stuffed, fiddley job.
Sorry to dig this up, mine is leaking drivers side at the rear of the fuel rail. Very hard to see down there... would it be o-ring or cracked hose?
It would be the o ring, there is a bolt on the back of the fuel rail undo this and pull out the fitting (there shouldn't be any pressure if it is all ready leaking) There is an o ring on the fitting replace it and refit and all should be good.
replaced the regulator on the passenger side not too long ago. Ive done a quick fix with some tube and tape but if its a vaccuum its not going to do so well until i get another tube... maybe the fuel is leaking from somewhere else in the area. Thats good news about the vaccuum, explains the fuel surges ive been having. Thanks
they look like filters?
anyone got any info?
Pretty sure that thing is the fuel damper...or whatever they call it. Takes the pulsing out of the fuel line.
umm dude, sorry to burst you bubble but this thread has been inactive since 09/11. and that would commonly be known as a thread dig. also, your information isnt very helpful. im sure the OP thought to tighten the bolts
