Ive seen a few of these cheaper brand coils fail fairly early in their life,(a couple of years or less),its always best to try to use genuine holden coils or good ,well known aftermarket brand coils like MSD.. Also, Ive found that these coils seem to slowly loose their performance over time, which effects the starting, running, the fuel economy and engine power and throttle responsiveness etc.I had one coil fail, replaced it with a genuine coil ,thought the car was running perfect again until I replaced the other two coils a week later, and with three new coils fitted, there was a huge improvement in how it started and ran,in the fuel economy and engine power etc,all way better then they were before...Also Ive seen these coils test ok on a multimeter, but then still cause misfiring,so testing them with a multimeter can sometimes fail to show up a faulty coil...Ive found that the best way to test them is to replace them ,one at a time, with a new coil, to see what the difference is in how it starts and runs under load etc etc,if you find that it runs way better with the new coil fitted, then the old coil that it replaced is faulty and needs renewing..I keep a brand new coil in my tool kit just for testing purposes,as coil failure is pretty common on these cars once they start to get a few years old....
