Default Needles how do u change the colour of them? Dash look what do u think?

    Hey,

im looking at changing my Dash, gear selector and air con back ground.

Now Question 1, im wanting to get rid of the orange needles and have red ones
can i just paint them our get a different models dials or what? the reason is as im going with this Dash look...

WHITE DIALS Holden Commodore Level 2 VN VP VR VS gauge (eBay item 120702221993 end time 22-May-11 16:23:43 AEST) : Cars, Bikes, Boats

Second question which in your opion would look best?

option 1, where the numbers are black is what i prefer. i dont mind option 2 but during the day with the outline numbers would shit me.

30+ hours at a call centre you get a bit bored and when your paid to be bored out of your brains Ebay becomes a really expensive mate.

take off the orange backings with nail polish remover or brake cleaner.

and repaint only that side in a light coat of white paint.

Yep, just remove orange on back of needle. When you re-paint them be sure to only put it on the thin strip on back of needle.

When you get your needles off you'll know what i mean lol.

Did mine the same green as my ute.

Paint or nail polish would be best.

To get the orange off the best thing to do is use a razor blade and scrape the orange off (hold edge of blade flat on back of needle and pull the lenght of it) nail polish remover and paint thinner will melt the needle if you're not carefull.

I re-did mine in red but they don't light up very good at night, anyone know what should be used to get them lighting up properly?

Ya need to put the paint on pretty thin so the light shines through the needle.

Mine look primo with the lights on, bright green. Would take a pic' but my camera is CRAP lol.

Seriously tho' mate. You can use nail polish but just thin it down with a little nail polish remover.
