hi guys,
been doing some electrical work on my car so i disconnected the battery, anyways, long story short, when i went to reconnect battery i took my keys with me cause my alarm sometimes goes off when i reconnect the negative lead, anyways, reconnected it and think ive closed the bonnet with my keys sitting under there, now i got no idea how to get them back
any help would be great
pull the bonnet cable from the drivers foot well lol
did you lock the doors ?
not sure but i think i read somewhere that if u get a long screwdriver you can pop the bonnet by getting underneath the car and popping the latch in the spring that holds the bonnet shut
yeah doors are locked, and i cant find the spring leaver that pops the bonnet up, i think its right ontop of the radiator so thats a no go, i can get ahold of the leaver that alows the bonnet to leift after its been popped but yeah, cant find the spring loaded leaver, any ideas on exactly where it is?
if you get under the car you should be able to reach up to your keys or get a little kid that can fit up between the radiator and motor and grab them good luck
thanks for the suggestions guyz, getting dark so will give it ago tommorrow.
if you cant find a kid to each your keys for you. It is possible to bend a metal coat hanger in a hook shape and feed it up near the front of the radiator so you can pull the bonnet release cable. Its a bitch of a job to do. i had to do this when the bonnet locked on me when I was replacing the whole cable.
pffft - really there is only 1 answer to this problem. Clearly the solution is to gas axe a hole the size of a A3 piece of paper roughly where you reckon you left the keys and then just pluck them out of the hole. If you are off by a bit then either enlarge the hole or carve out a new one.

Why not break into the car with a coathanger???
Try undoing the bonnet hinges, you can access them under a closed bonnet with a ratchet spanner. Just follow the windsheild. Once you have undone them you should be able to get a mate to hold it up slightly while you fish the keys out with magnet tool, or coat hanger(s)
all good, got the keys, tryed all of that, window was closed too tight to get a coat hanger in there, ended up jacking the car up and reaching for them, took a bit of feeling round but found them. thanks anyway guys![]()
