    Default Thermo fan question

I have a VS 5.0lt that used to be a S/C V6. I've still got the wiring there for a thermo fan set-up.
my question is can or does the VR V8 auto computer still control the thermo fans or has this circuit been removed from the pcm?
if I do hook-up the fans to the harness using the original plug it just blows the #10 ignition fuse.
this is what I feel I'm doing!

I have thermos in my 5ltr. All commodores had the thermo wiring as standard, v6(obviously) and the v8s too. I however ran the wiring to the relay box and just had it activate a bigger relay for the AU thermos i used. They basically melt the factory wiring harness. But yes you will have to get the output turned on in the ecu first as its disabled in the v8's.

yeah mate u can do it yourself bro if u wanted too ? u can use x2 30amp relays or x1 60amp relay and splice that into the fuse so it doesnt draw the power on initial startup, also if u use au thermos make sure they fit threw ur auto lines that run into ur radiator, i had that problem they went straight threw the fans so left them off until i changed to a seperate trans cooler
