Hey guys I just purchased a Vr Ss and it's been all good until Friday. Came out after work to start the car and it wouldn't crank over. I played around with the battery checked fuses and relays made sure it was in park, checked starter motor and still nothing. The pump primes and the lights come on just doesn't crank. After I tried all that it just started and drove fine. Got the car home left it over night and tried to start it again today and it wouldn't crank. Left it for an hour or so and then it started fine.. Any ideas?? Starter motor ? Ignition module? Any help would be appreciated cheers John
Start it in neutral when it happens again, see how it goes!
Also when I was driving it there was a flat spot at around 4 grand. But car drives fine and idles fine just when I hit 4 it missed a bit. Happened twice..
Either it is a bad battery in the keyhead or the keyhead is not making good contact on the silver ring around the ignition key hole.
Will that cause it not to crank? The Fuel pump and everything are still coming on..
Yes it would cause that
Sweet thanks will check it out tomorrow. The key it self has been in a fish tank lol and the button doesn't work so I'll get a key cut. Cheers
