    Unhappy burns-unit

    Hey all help me out please! I wet the engine bay of my vs v8 very slightly this morning while the engine was running before i could get in and keep it running it stalled now it will not fire, it winds over but will not fire.

    Do you know what sections you wet ? could be water in a sensor or something like that. wait till the morning and see if it will start over once all the water has had a change to dry out.

    You might have shorted out your coil, ignition module, fuses or relays. Start out by checking your fuses and engine-related relays. I destroyed the coil in my Calais by washing the engine with a pressure sprayer (not when it was running though).

    Thx for the help! But since i put my post up i have blown everything out with compressor but i have no spark at any leads guess i off to see my mechanic.

    i know it doesnt have anything to do with the wet motor but im guessing its ticking over but not starting because the no spark? try and replace the battery in the key or if you have a second key try that because that happend to me it was ticking over but no spark = new battery in key fixed it

    In a 5.0L, probably the ignition module.

    use some magic spray (contact cleaner) and go crazy and jet down all the sensors and terminals, that'll displace any left over moisture and clean conductor surfaces. Definately on to do list that shit is highly effective.
    Stuntmanmike: At least he didn't advise for me to check the head light fluid and bring it in to tune the radio...

    Thx for all the help it turned out to be the coil, it had some spark but not enough.
