hey just woundering if any one has got info on strut braces are they any good
if you have fitted on did you notice any better handling when hard turning ???
The braces are there to stiffen up the chassis when turning corners most people and including myself havent really noticed any difference thats because most of the modern late model cars say in the past 15 years have all got pretty stable chassis's in them that dont warrant the brace at all, this is my personal opinion but it might or might not matter to anyone else cheers
If you are going to track days its probably worth it, but on the street its unlikely to do much.
They are designed by the engineering department know as sales.
Had one on my VS a long time ago, since I don't drive like a twit on the road I didn't notice any difference with or without it, it looked nice though, eventually I sold it as it simply took up room and added weight.
I Fitted a strut brace to the Mrs VR Berlina, It was a real boat even though every single spring, shock & all the bushes were replaced.
the brace help a little but the main reason was to stop the flex in the towers as the body filler had minor cracks, and have seen some pretty bad strut tower cracks on this forum over the year.
Have never come across the above problem but it wouldn't suprise me. My VS had super lows and every bush bearing and moving / jiggling suspension part replaced.
I guess it comes down to pot luck and prehaps the vehicles history.
thanks for the advice guys will think about it !!
